Napoleon Bilodeau & Sons
Gerard Kerouac's body was brought to this building which was, until 1976, Bilodeau Funeral Home. Back in 1926, it was run by the undertakers Napoleon Bilodeau & Sons who prepared Gerard Kerouac's body for his wake back at his family's home on Beaulieu Street in Centralville. The address is now a Southeast Asian hair salon at 713 Merrimack Street in close proximity to St. Jean de Baptiste Church:

"One afternoon--in the ghost yards of St. Louis, the crunchly gravels of recess, banana smells in the lockers, a nun combing my hair with the water of the pissoir drip-pipe . . ." Dr. Sax
